Dariush Arjmand (July 27, 1939 – February 14, 2016) was an Iranian actor and director. He was born in Tehran, Iran, and began his career in theater in the 1960s. He appeared in over 100 films and television shows during his career, including some of Iran's most beloved classics such as "The Deer" and "Qeysar." He also directed several films, including "Mostafavi" and "The Helper." In addition to his work on-screen, Arjmand was also a prominent cultural figure in Iran, serving as the deputy minister of culture and head of the Iranian National TV and Radio Organization in the 1980s. He was known for his dedication to the preservation and promotion of Iranian culture and art, and was widely respected for his contributions to the country's film and theater industries. Arjmand died in Tehran in 2016 at the age of 76.
